At 7: 30 am on April 22nd, 2023, the "G60" Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon started at Happy Valley in Shanghai, and 5,000 runners gathered in Songjiang from "the top of Shanghai" to "the root of Shanghai" to share the city’s elegant demeanor and experience the special services of the event, witnessing the rapid development of Songjiang.
This competition is technically certified by China Athletics Association, sponsored by Shanghai Songjiang District People’s Government and Shanghai Sports Federation, undertaken by Shanghai Songjiang District Sports Bureau and Shanghai Songjiang District Sports Federation, and operated and promoted by Nanjing Shanpao Sports Technology Co., Ltd.
After intense competition, SINTAYEHU DINKSA JENA from Ethiopia finally defeated her opponent in the final sprint and won the Sheshan Half Horse Men’s Team Championship with a score of 01:02:30. Ebesie Ayele Balcha from Ethiopia won the women’s championship in 01:09:47 and broke the competition record. Gemechu Gishe Bute and Aytoligne Kassaw Agegnehu won the runner-up and third place in the men’s team, while BIKILE TEFERI LETA and DEMSAH SAMRAWIT YIRGA won the runner-up and third place in the women’s team.
After years of intensive cultivation, the attention of the "G60" Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon has gradually increased, and it has won the reputation of the contestants. In order to make the track smoother and help the players achieve PB, the organizing committee carefully adjusted the track route after repeated consideration. At the same time, in order to encourage faster and stronger sports competitive spirit, a record-breaking prize was set up to attract 200 elite athletes from China, Ethiopia, Oman and Kenya to compete on the same stage.
Finally, Ebesie Ayele Balcha from Ethiopia broke the women’s team competition record. Standing at a new starting point, the "G60" Shanghai Sheshan Half Marathon will continue to improve its professionalism in the spirit of Excellence, so as to bring more comfortable experience to the contestants.

The 21.0975km ecological track passes through Sheshan National Forest Park, Guangfulin Ruins Park, Guangfulin Country Park, Yuehu Sculpture Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden and other famous scenic spots in Songjiang, with wide and flat roads, full of green’s boulevard and youthful Songjiang University Town, which has aroused the sports enthusiasm of the whole people.
The runners in the track are dressed up and passionate, and the citizens on the track are full of cheers and enthusiasm. Every step is a landscape, and every step has expectations and surprises.
The organization, command and dispatch of this competition introduced the advanced "digital" intelligent management center, integrated technologies such as 5G and big data analysis, and coordinated the support system of the whole competition. The organizing committee of the competition joined hands with the project "Dandelion under the Blue Sky-Helping Students Hand in Hand" of Songjiang District Representative Office in Shanghai Charity Foundation to add a social responsibility to this run and complete the fundraising for 200 public welfare places. All public welfare funds will be used to help needy students.
