What we want to introduce to you today is the test drive experience of MG 7 automatic transmission model produced by Nanjing MG MG.
Note: Because this article focuses on the driving experience of MG 7 automatic transmission, the test drive article starts with the driving experience, and the other feelings of this model will be briefly explained after the third page of this article.
Driving experience-multiple functions
Sitting in MG 7, I feel that its space is not very big, but the electric seat that can be adjusted in eight directions feels good, and it has three sets of memory functions. Adjust your seat, fasten your seat belt, and light the fire!
The focus of this test drive is "automatic transmission", so we must first talk about this 5-speed automatic gearbox from Aisin. The gear of MG 7 automatic transmission model is very compact, and it only takes a small stroke to pull the gear handle from P gear to D gear, and the round gear handle feels acceptable.
There is a shift mode selection button next to the gear handle, which has three functions, namely "sports mode", "snow mode" and "economy mode".
Motion mode:In this mode, the gearbox will control the shift speed at about 3500rpm, and it will remain above 2500 rpm after the shift is completed. Combined with the data of the maximum speed range of MG 7 model at 2100-4000rpm, the use of "S" gear can give full play to its role.
Snow mode:Press the button down to switch to the snow mode. In this mode, the gearbox will start with the second gear, and the speed will be controlled at 1500rpm. When the car starts, you can feel the sound of the engine is very low, which is to prevent the slipping phenomenon that may be caused by starting on the snow road through the high gear and low torque.
Economic model:Pulling the button back is "E", which is the economy mode. This mode is generally used when driving on good roads. The gearbox will choose the best gear and shift timing to ensure economy.
In the field of mid-level cars, there are not many models with multi-function gearbox. MG 7 automatic transmission models have great advantages in gearbox, with good ride comfort and functionality, but the response speed of manual mode is slightly slower.
Episode—When we are parking, we can inadvertently turn the gear lever without stepping on the car key, which makes us worry that the ignition may "jump the car". We have done ignition tests in all gears, and found that ignition can only be carried out in the P gear, but not in other gears, and the protection measures are still in place.
Through the operation, it can be clearly felt that this is a car that pays attention to the handle. The operating equipment such as the handle, steering wheel and handbrake are all wrapped in leather, and the handbrake feels particularly good.
When driving, the gear shift is also smooth when the accelerator is lightly pressed and the acceleration is made, and the collision feeling is very small. When driving at a constant speed, it feels like a gentleman. When cruising at a speed of 60-80 km/h, the rotation speed is very stable, and it will not suddenly slow down or accelerate due to oil collection and refueling, and the ride comfort is very good.
This automatic gearbox also has manual mode, and the process of shifting from D gear to M gear during driving is very short. However, when shifting gears in manual mode, the delay is slightly longer, and the gearbox will be shifted to the corresponding gear in about 1 second after shifting operation. The forced downshift function of the gearbox during driving is not very sensitive, and even if it is deeply depressed on the accelerator, it is not very active in economic mode. It can be seen that the gearbox adjustment focuses on comfort.
