CCTV News:November 7 -10, the Seventh Fifth Congress of China Journalists’ Federation, the 2023 Academic Annual Meeting and the awarding ceremony of the "Wang Xuan Journalism Science and Technology Award" project award and excellent thesis award were held in Haikou, Hainan Province. Four projects of CCTV won the first prize, two of which were selected by CCTV. CCTV and its affiliated companies also won a second prize and three third prizes.
"Wang Xuan News Science and Technology Award" is the only cross-media science and technology award approved by the National Science and Technology Awards Office in China’s news media industry. According to the "Wang Xuan News Science and Technology Award" Award Office, in 2023, a total of 357 projects applied for the "Wang Xuan News Science and Technology Award" project award. Based on the comprehensive performance of scientific and technological level, economic or social benefits and the role of promoting the progress of news science and technology, 293 items were evaluated by experts, including 49 first prizes, 107 second prizes and 137 third prizes.
A total of six projects of CCTV and its affiliated companies won the "Wang Xuan News Science and Technology Award" project award, which embodies the remarkable achievements of CCTV in implementing the strategic pattern of "5G+4K/8K+AI" of the main station in recent years and focusing on building a technological innovation system of "cloud, number and intelligence". Among them, CCTV’s "Artificial Intelligence Editorial Department" project and Beijing Yi Orange Tianxia Technology Co., Ltd.’ s "Integrated Media Intelligent Broadcasting Control Audit Platform Based on Knowledge Map" won the first prize; CCTV’s multi-terminal live broadcast control platform project won the second prize; CCTV’s Big Data System Project, CCTV International Network Wuxi Co., Ltd.’ s "Qingyan Audit Intelligent Cloud Platform" project and Future TV Co., Ltd.’ s "Research on Localization Technology of Internet TV Integration Platform" project won the third prize.
With the construction of "artificial intelligence editorial department" as the core, CCTV gives full play to the core competitiveness of "content is king+platform wins+technology leads", and is committed to applying artificial intelligence to the practice of news production and communication on a large scale, and through open cooperation, it forms an intelligent media ecology with multiple participation, open integration and external sharing, and shapes new advantages of media development with scientific and technological innovation.
Since its formal establishment in 2004, the "Wang Xuan Journalism Science and Technology Award" has played a positive role in encouraging and guiding the vast number of journalists in China to develop new technologies, innovate new applications, and promote the informationization construction of China’s journalism industry and the strategic transformation of the media.
