In 2022, Xiamen became an important landing city for the street race tour program. On his first trip to Xiamen, witnessed by Zhongshan Road for a century, Ding Bangchao set a new record for the men’s pole vault with a score of 5.71m.. Women’s pole vault is the event in Xiamen Station of 2023 Street Race, and the participating lineup is assembled with Li Ling, the Asian record holder of women’s pole vault, Niu Chunge, the U18 world champion, Chen Qiaoling, the champion of Asian Championship, and several excellent female pole vaulters in China.
Li Ling has rich experience in participating in world competitions. He has participated in the Olympic Games and World Championships for many times, and won the World Cup and Asian Games in track and field. It is also one of the goals of this competition to set a new record for street competitions. In this competition, Li Ling started to take off from the height of 4.32 meters, passing 4.32 meters and 4.52 meters respectively, breaking the record of 4.51 meters set by Chen Qiaoling last year. But at the height of 4.62 meters, three attempts failed.
Niu Chunge took off at a height of 4.32 meters and directly challenged 4.62 meters. The second attempt was successful, which raised the record of the tournament just created by Li Ling by 10 centimeters again, and set a new personal best. At the same time, Niu Chunge finally broke the record of the tournament with a score of 4.62 meters, and achieved the four-time champion in the street.
In the end, Li Ling won the runner-up with a height of 4.52 meters, and Chen Qiaoling tied for the third place with a score of 4.17 meters.
