According to a report from this newspaper, Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision, and will recall some domestic Mazda CX-50 vehicles produced between February 15 and September 7, 2023, with a total of 9,510 vehicles.
For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to improper control procedures of the vehicle control system (VCM), during the driving process of the vehicle, when there are objects such as inclined walls next to the road, the intelligent driving assistance system will erroneously detect, resulting in a prompt message or tone when the vehicle is not at risk of collision, which in extreme cases causes the vehicle to brake incorrectly, posing a safety hazard.
Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the VCM control program for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through authorized dealers to eliminate potential safety hazards, and will notify relevant users of the recall through registered mail, text messages, and phone calls.
